Parents, Don’t Let Kids Drink at Your House

This may be a touchy subject for some parents, but this video (below) prompted me talk about many parent’s decision to allow under-legal-age children to drink alcohol in their home. I encourage parents to really think this through and consider how this decision scales as well as it’s alignment with your family’s values.

When you allow (read: encourage) under-age drinking, what will you say when your children engage in a different illegal activity you find reprehensible?

Under age drinking in my house? Not on my watch!

Quote and Question: When are you responsible for your own mood?

It’s up to us to determine our happiness. No one else is in charge. No one else is to blame. No one else gets the credit. Our happiness is tied to our willingness to be responsible for our own moods.
That’s a certainty — one of few in this life.” –Karen Casey

Quote and Question: What will you do today to be more attractive?

“For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.  For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.  For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.  For beautiful hair, let a child run his or her fingers through it once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge that you’ll never walk alone.”
